Framing Your Research Question

In this session we'll consider how to come up with a workable research question with regards to the available literature: is there enough information to provide a suitable background? What limits will you need to set? We’ll consider which literature will help you contextualise your research and inform your literature search. We'll explore how to scope a range of different sources, including academic, government and organisational literature. By the end of the session you should be able to understand which literature will help you contextualise your research question, access a range of information sources provided by the University Library, set limits on search queries, and conduct scoping searches on a range of resources.
