Bibliometrics - a definition: "the statistical analysis of books, articles or other publications" (Oxford English Dictionary)
This session is suitable for research students and staff who want to understand how bibliometric indicators can be derived, obtained and used.
This workshop will cover how published research outputs are measured at the article, author and journal level. In the second half of the session, we will move into a more hands-on phase, to give you the opportunity to explore how to improve your research profile and evidence your strengths using bibliometrics. The remainder of the session will be given over to Questions and Answers.
