About management information
Management data and reports are provided online using Tableau.
Authorised staff can view data and reports, including:
- staff numbers, lists and details
- prompt reports for recurring staff management tasks, such as managing fixed-term contracts
- sickness absence reports
- equality and diversity metrics

You will need to use a VPN connection if you are off-campus. You can also browse reports on our Tableau Server at tableau.york.ac.uk (staff only).
Who has access?
All staff have access to basic workbooks on staff numbers and their own absence record. Line managers can also see the absence records of the staff who report to them.
Staff with departmental HR responsibilities have additional access to more detailed workbooks at a departmental, section or unit level.

Staff in central departments with responsibilities for planning and management – including staff in HR, finance, planning and equality and diversity – also have access to some data.

- Your HR Partner, Adviser or Officer can also help you use these workbooks.
