Navigating Ambiguity: guidance for leaders

This section focuses on finding solid ground during periods of university change, giving you the tools to filter out the noise of uncertainty and stay grounded in what truly matters.

When big shifts happen, it’s easy for our minds to hit the panic button and assume that every part of our daily reality is turning upside down. In reality, much of what makes us successful remains completely intact. This section introduces two visual frameworks: the Four Doors of Change and Polarity Mapping- designed to help you step back and make sense of the transition. By learning how to map out what isn't changing and balance the tension between old strengths and new opportunities, you'll gain a practical way to lower stress, regain your sense of agency, and confidently move forward.

Watch this video and learn to use the "Four Doors" framework to lower anxiety, identify enduring strengths, and gain clarity during major university transitions. (Two minutes)

We prioritise active learning over passive listening. Real growth doesn't happen by reading a screen; it happens when we apply what we’ve learned directly to our daily roles. Download this worksheet to complete your micro-mission for this topic.
