Professor Farah Magrabi, Professor of Biomedical and Health Informatics at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University, and an AAIP Programme Fellow, has been appointed as one of Australia’s representatives on the Global Partnership for AI (GPAI).

The GPAI aims to foster international collaboration on the responsible use and development of AI. It bridges the gap between theory and practice on AI by supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities on AI-related priorities.

“I’m delighted to join colleagues from around the world to influence how we can collaborate across borders to develop the safe and responsible use of AI,” said Professor Magrabi. “Through this international collaboration, we can share best practice and reduce duplication, enabling us to foster confidence in trustworthy AI in all sectors.”
