Estates Services is responsible for the management and strategic development of the University of York campus, which totals over 320,000 sq. metres distributed amongst 226 buildings in Heslington and York city centre.
The purpose and aim of Estates Services is to provide a high quality physical environment and meet the University's objectives of teaching, learning and research, as well as contributing to the economy and society at large.

The open spaces surrounding our buildings are integral to the unique character of the University of York. Careful design of the open spaces has made them inclusive to everyone and we share our grounds with visitors and members of the public.
