Event details

Join YESI for the 13th Tropical Ecosystem Network meeting, which will focus on ‘Adaptation and resilience in tropical mountain ecosystems’, a timely theme following the United Nations International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development in 2022.

As it has been a long time since the last Tropical Ecosystem Network event, this meeting will start with an introduction from YESI’s director, Professor Lindsay Stringer, which will be followed by a series of one-minute slides by attendees to briefly introduce themselves and their research. Researchers from across the University of York will then showcase their work on tropical mountains through a series of short presentations. This will be followed by a networking coffee break and group discussions to explore future research directions, as well as potential applications/opportunities.

The meeting is primarily for network members but non-members are very welcome to attend. The YESI Tropical Ecosystem Network is designed to bring together the breadth of expertise across departments at the University of York to build innovative collaborations, develop new interdisciplinary research directions and bid for funding opportunities.
