Funding for students with disabilities
If you have a disability, medical condition, mental health problem or learning difficulty, you may be eligible for additional financial support.
UK students may be eligible for the Disabled Students' Allowance, designed to cover any study-related extra costs you may incur due to your disability.
If you're from outside the UK and have been awarded a UK Research Council studentship, you might also be eligible to apply for Disabled Students' Allowances. For all other international students, you may be eligible for financial support from the University. It is important that you contact the Disability Team before you enter the UK. This allows time to discuss your support needs and possible support options. You will need to provide us with relevant medical evidence when you do so.
