Funding for students with disabilities
If you have a disability, medical condition, mental health problem or learning difficulty, you may be eligible for additional financial support.
UK students
The Disabled Students' Allowance is designed to cover any extra study-related costs you may incur due to your disability.
International students
If you're from outside the UK, and have been awarded a UK Research Council studentship, you might also be eligible to apply for Disabled Students' Allowances. For all other international students, you may be eligible for financial support from the University.
To allow time to discuss your support needs and options, it's important that you contact the Disability Team before you enter the UK. You'll need to provide relevant medical evidence.
