This module involves small production-related project related to the student's specialism accompanied by a dissertation of 7,000 words. This project is specified on a case by case basis by the department and is used only for students who for some reason cannot complete the full individual project.

Building on the specialist study, individual and work undertaken in previous modules, this module aims to provide a production-focused project through which students can synthesise and apply knowledge gained in pursuit of a PG Diploma.
By the end of this module, students are expected to:
Demonstrate an understanding for and application of appropriate filmmaking methods and techniques related to their area of specialisation.
Demonstrate facility with hardware and/or software systems related to their area of specialisation.
Articulate key aspects of their specialisation as applied to the creation of a small scale artefact.
Define the project’s attributes, with clear objectives and an appropriate technical approach.
Work individually to prepare a review and evaluation of related prior work to put the project in context.
Work independently as well as liaise with colleagues as required to fulfil project requirements.
Further develop report writing, reflective critical analysis and skills in a formal context as part of the final assessment process.
