Module summary

For the module students demonstrate their capacity to apply their knowledge to practice by submitting elements of their practice placement report for marking. There is one 'recall day' of teaching associated with the module but students are primarily supported in the module via VLE resources and formative feedback at the midway point of their placement.

This module aims to develop and asses your ability to apply knowledge and theory to practice experience and to develop your capacity as reflective practitioners

By the end of this module students will 

 

LO1. Demonstrate a capacity to apply knowledge and theory to their own practice

 

LO2. Demonstrate a capacity to critically reflect on their practice experiences. 

 

Module content

Please refer to module content of the Preparation for Practice, Law & Policy & Social Work Across the Lifecourse.  Knowledge Into Practice is a summation of the learning acquired from these three modules and put into practice during Practice Placement 1.

 

Students are supported by a variety of online learning resources available on the VLE which will support them to put their learning into practice. Students also have 1 'recall' day from placement to attend a workshop on reflective practice and assessment support.

Module feedback

Student will receive feedback on their formative assessments two weeks after submission.
