Recital 2 - MUS00093M
Module summary
This module supports your further development in advanced vocal or instrumental technique, musical communication and interpretative ability and allows you to explore a wider range of repertoire, culminating in the presentation of a solo or ensemble recital.
Module will run
Occurrence | Teaching period |
---|---|
A | Semester 1 2025-26 |
B | Semester 2 2025-26 |
Module aims
The module aims to build your confidence and autonomy in preparing and presenting a solo or ensemble performance, and broaden your understanding and experience of the repertoire available to them. Students who choose this module will be expected to develop a greater level of autonomy in relation to their artistic decisions, preparation, organization and time-management than in Recital 1.
By bringing independent work week by week to their tutors, you are encouraged to consolidate an advanced level of technique and the qualities of a critical, reflective and informed artistic practice. The specialism-specific performance class is used to facilitate peer feedback and reflection, to develop your presentation and communication with a live audience, and to encourage creative experimentation with interpretative options.
Module learning outcomes
By the end of the module you should:
-
Be able to design and efficiently prepare a solo or ensemble recital through self-directed practice and rehearsal with the support of your teacher
-
