Module aims

This module is an introductory undergraduate level course in Spanish grammar.

Module learning outcomes

After satisfactorily completing the module you should be able to show:

  • Increased understanding of the structures of the Spanish language
  • The ability to analyse grammatical aspects and to understand/produce them in context
  • An increased awareness, acquired through revision, practice and intensive self-study, of the use of the grammatical structures used in spoken and written Spanish and of grammar-related issues of particular note within Spanish

Feedback on formative assessment

• Oral commentary and dialogue within class on grammar exercises given immediately both to individuals and whole class.

• Online answers provided with all VLE tasks.

• Model answers may be given for class exercises/ past exam papers, with class discussion of difficulties.

Written feedback to be provided within 20 working days.
