Improving access to your Student Support Plan (SSP)

At the end of last semester, we launched a new online system for handling Student Support Plans (SSPs).
You're now able to apply for - or view - your Student Support Plan online at any time via e:vision and your adjustments are automatically shared with your teaching staff across all modules (regardless of school or department).
What does this mean for returning students with a Student Support Plan?
Your support and adjustments remain fully active and unchanged. View your plan anytime via your e:vision dashboard.
- Standardised wording: SSPs have been converted into a new digital format. Wording has been standardised across the University and will look different, but the substance of your support has not changed.
- A new digital record: If your SSP is still undergoing conversion from a PDF document, your individual arrangements, including exam support, remain active.
- Spot an error? Click 'Review my SSP' in e:vision, and your Disability Practitioner will get in touch.
How can I request or amend my Student Support Plan?
To amend support, select 'Review my SSP' in e:vision to book a meeting with a practitioner. New students should register for support as soon as possible - the deadline for January 2027 assessment adjustments is Friday 23 October 2026.
What happens to my SSP if I have changed my programme or department?
Your plan automatically moves with your student record. Select 'Review my SSP' in e:vision to discuss any updates for your new programme with Disability Services.
Will the new system improve communication and collaboration between me, Disability Services, and academic staff?
Yes.! Academic adjustments are now shared automatically with departments, speeding up communication and making it easier for you to review and approve your support.
