Improving access to your Student Support Plan (SSP)
Posted on Wednesday 3 June 2026
Acting directly on feedback from students, we’re launching a new online system for handling SSPs.
For next academic year, you’ll be able to apply for - or view - your Student Support Plan online at any time via e:vision and there will be new guidance on what your plan means, how it's implemented and how to request an update to your support.
The upgrade also automatically connects your adjustments directly to the academic and support staff teaching you, even across joint degrees or elective modules, ensuring your adjustments are shared seamlessly and securely.
What does this mean for students with a Student Support Plan?
If you currently have a Student Support Plan, your support and adjustments remain fully active and unchanged. From 15 June, you will be able to log in to e:vision and view your SSP as a PDF document.
We’re then working over the summer to upgrade your SSP into a fully interactive digital record. All plans will be fully enhanced by the start of the new academic year and there will be guidance to explain everything you need to know about the new system.
You can continue to view your plan exactly as normal at any time. Once your digital record is live, you’ll see a new student dashboard where you can easily view your plan and request a review of your support plan if your circumstances change.
This change introduces a faster, more automated system that will close communication gaps and give you complete visibility over your support, ensuring your approved adjustments are always reliably in place when and where you need them.
