Staying in campus accommodation over the Easter break?

An update about catering, helpdesk, cleaning and reception opening times over the Easter break.

Catering and shops

Retail and catering outlet opening times change during the Easter break. Visit the Eat, Shop, and Drink opening times page to see what’s open and when.

Helpdesk times

The University Facilities Helpdesk will be open as usual, Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm, and Friday 9am to 4pm, except on the following Bank Holidays: Friday 3 April, and Monday 6 April.

However, don't worry - any emergency faults can still be reported at any time during the Bank Holidays or outside of regular hours. For non-emergencies, call +44 (0)1904 32 4444, or for more urgent concerns, call +44 (0)1904 323333.

Cleaning - student residential areas

Normal cleaning services will continue throughout the Easter break, except on the Bank Holidays.

There will be no cleaning services on Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April.

All residential areas will be stocked with waste bin liners and toilet rolls, but if you need extra supplies on the Bank Holidays, please request them from your nearest Reception desk.

Launderettes

All campus launderettes will remain accessible during the Easter break and will be open as usual. If your college’s launderette is closed for any reason, you can go to your nearest reception and ask the receptionist for a key to access another launderette.

Travel

From Sunday 29 March to Saturday 11 April, University bus services (U1, U2, U3, U4 and UN1) will run on a reduced non-term timetable.

  • U1 and U2: Reduced frequency to every 40 minutes.
  • U3 and U4: Will not operate during the Easter holiday period.
  • UN1: Operating Friday and Saturday nights only.

Reception services

Reception hours remain unchanged over the vacation, with the Reception Teams available from 7am to 11pm, in addition to overnight support provided by the Mobile Response Team. Visit the Reception Services web page for more details on their services and hours.
