New student mailroom on Campus West

We have reviewed how parcels and mail are delivered across campus. From 14 September 2026, there will be a change to the location on Campus West where student parcels and mail will be delivered and processed.

Background to change

We were seeing increased incidents of external courier services delivering student parcels to incorrect buildings across campus.

In addition, the latest campus safety enhancements to building access mean that external couriers may not be able to gain access to buildings and Colleges to deliver parcels directly.

New location for Campus West

The location for all deliveries on Campus West is the Dalham Farm Mailroom and the location for student collections is the new Student Mailroom which is next door to the Dalham Farm Mailroom. This is approximately a 10 minute walk from the Information Centre and there’s parking available nearby.

There are no changes on Campus East with the Piazza Mailroom continuing to serve that Campus.

What you need to know

Ordering parcels and mail - when ordering mail and parcels, you should continue to use your full accommodation address and must use your correct known-as name, rather than an alias or nickname.

Collecting parcels and mail

During the week - The Dalham Farm Student Mailroom (next door to the main Dalham Farm Mailroom) will be open from 9am to 8pm, Monday to Friday. You should wait until you receive your 2D barcode before collecting your items - ignore any courier delivery notifications.
At weekends - Couriers will deliver student mail and parcels to the Information Centre, but these will not be available for collection from Dalham farm until the following week. Wait until you receive your 2D barcode before coming to collect your items - ignore any courier delivery notifications.
Collecting parcels outside Semester time - The mailroom may operate different hours during University breaks. Changes to hours will be communicated and shown on the mailroom web page.

Accessibility

As part of this location change, work is ongoing at the new Dalham Farm Student Mailroom to provide step-free access. We apologise that this will not be in place immediately, however if you have an accessibility, you’ll be able to access the Student Mailroom via the main Mailroom entrance, which will be clearly signed next to the Student Mailroom. Staff will be present during the opening hours to assist you.
