Win a month's rent! National Student Money Week returns

National Student Money week returns from Monday 27 February to Friday 3 March, with the theme, ‘Navigating the Numbers: Coping with the Cost of Living’.

National Student Money Week is an annual campaign created by the National Association of Student Money Advisers and supported by Blackbullion this year to raise awareness about the money advice and support available to students.

Taking place from Monday 27 February - Friday 3 March, there are a variety of activities and resources to explore, including themed daily highlights on our social media channels.

Enter the Spending Snapshot

Get a snapshot of your finances, and win a month's rent! 
Deadline - Friday 10 March 2023

Now more than ever, it’s vital to be money smart. Enter Blackbullion’s ‘Spending Snapshot’ competition to get a real insight into your financial situation and see how you benchmark against other students studying in your area. Three students will win their rent paid for a month! Enter by Friday 10 March.

How to enter

  1. Log in to Blackbullion, or register for a free account
  2. Create a snapshot of your financial life using their brand-new ‘Spending snapshot’ tool.

Cook on a budget and win a £30 voucher

We want your great ideas for eating healthily on a budget.
Deadline - 5pm, Friday 10 March 2023

The average student spends £116 per month on groceries and £49 on takeaways and eating out. At a time of rising costs, we’re all looking for ways to save money. Why not enter our Seven Day Meal Planner competition for the chance to win vouchers worth £30!

How to take part:

Create a meal plan for seven days that incorporates three meals a day, plus snacks, for less than £30.

We'll have a £30 voucher winner for each category: Standard, Vegetarian, Vegan or Other. There will also be 10 coffee vouchers for the best photos of meals! Enter by 5pm, Friday 10 March 2023

Get cost-saving tips from your Cost of Living Ambassadors

Your Cost of Living Ambassadors will be out and about at drop-ins sharing cost-saving ideas, tips and suggestions, as well as more information about the competitions above, and how to complete your Snapshot. They may also have a few giveaways - so drop in and see them!

Online Zoom session - Tuesday 28 February 2023, 2pm - 3pm

TransUnion are one of the UK's largest Credit Reference Agencies, with a focus on educating consumers on all things credit. TransUnion are running an online Credit Education session aimed at students during National Student Money Week 2023.
