The average student spends £116 per month on groceries and an extra £49 per month on takeaways and eating out (source: Save The Student).

At a time of rising costs, we’re all looking for ways to save money. Watch recent student, Rhiannon, give her top tips on how to make your food budget go further, including where and how to shop.

Help and advice

Your Cost of Living Ambassadors (COLAs) will be out and about at their drop-ins this week with fantastic ideas of ways you can keep spending low, whilst eating well.

Enter our Seven Day Meal Planner competition for the chance to win vouchers worth £30!

We want your great ideas for eating healthily on a budget. All you have to do is create a meal plan for seven days that incorporates three meals a day, plus snacks, for less than £30.

We'll have a £30 voucher winner for each category: Standard, Vegetarian, Vegan or Other. There will also be 10 coffee vouchers for the best photos of meals!
