Changes to the C1 bus route

Following the introduction of double deckers buses, concerns expressed by local residents, as well as substantial health and safety considerations; the C1 route, specifically the section from Heslington Road to Halifax College, has been reviewed and immediate changes are required.
As a result of these changes, from Sunday 29 October, the nearest bus stop servicing Halifax College will be Newton Way, a short 8 minute walk from the college itself - highlighted on the map image. You can also find Newton Way on the campus map by searching for Halifax College, zooming in twice then moving upwards - Newton Way is situated in Zone 6 near the group of unmarked blue buildings to the left. A bus shelter will be erected at the stop and the C1 will remain a free campus shuttle route for all staff and students.
In addition, from Sunday 29 October, bus route 67 will be changing. The route previously looped round at Merchantgate in the city centre but following feedback it will now travel to the Railway Station.
