Staying in campus accommodation over the vacation?

There are a number of things to remember if you’re staying on campus over the festive period.

Catering and shops

Opening times are different outside of term time. See catering opening times over the vacation.

Nisa Market Square will be closed from Saturday 7 December 2019 to Wednesday 1 January 2020 inclusive (re-opening on Thursday 2 January) whilst refurbishments are carried out, including introducing a self-weigh area for dry goods.

Nisa Kimberlow will be open as usual daily between 7am and 10pm.

Report a problem

The University Facilties Helpdesk will be closed from Tuesday 24 December 2019, reopening on Thursday 2 January 2020. But don’t worry, any emergency faults can be reported at any point during the closure period via Security Services on +44 (0) 1904 323333.

Cleaning

Normal cleaning services will be provided up to and including Tuesday 24 December 2019 and will resume on Thursday 2 January 2020. Essential supplies such as bin bags and toilet rolls will be left in residential areas.

Reception services

Reception services across campus will be limited on Wednesday 25 December 2019, Thursday 26 December 2019 and Wednesday 1 January 2020. The Ron Cooke Hub (for Campus East) and James College (Campus West) will be open 24 hours a day across these three dates; however other college receptions will be closed.
