Building work starts on new Campus East colleges

Posted on 6 November 2019

Find out how access will be affected.

Preparatory site works have begun this week on two new colleges to be built on Campus East.

New accommodation and social spaces will be built on the western section of Campus East, enabling more students to experience the benefits of college life and strengthening the link between Campus East and Campus West.

Contractors GRAHAM will be setting up a small site compound on the area adjacent to the Catalyst. The footpath/cycle lane through the campus will remain open for the short term, though there will be infrastructure in place to guide pedestrians, cyclists, and traffic near the junctions with Baird Lane and Freboys Lane.

Car parking to the Catalyst will remain open. Accessible parking by the Catalyst and Law and Management will still be reachable via Freboys Lane.
