Your Bus 66 runs from the York Sport Village at Heslington East via Lakeside Way and University Road into York city centre, ending its route past the station at Nunnery Lane.
The 44 Unibus continues to run through the Heslington campuses to the city centre (and now extends to Acomb too). Its route to Heslington East is slightly altered: it now runs from Heslington Hall to Heslington East Interchange (the car park area adjacent to Langwith College).
Both the 66 and the 44 will start providing 24-hour services during term time and both the 66 and the 44 still provide a free campus hopper service between Heslington campuses. The 66 extends this free service to The Retreat bus stop on Heslington Road.
Your Bus 56 will be a new hourly service which runs from the Heslington campuses through town (via Walmgate) to the King’s Manor, the train station and the Foss Bank Sainsbury’s. This service will start at the beginning of the 2015 Autumn Term, and will be a term-time only service.
First’s number 4 service, which previously served both Heslington campuses, now runs from Heslington East to the train station via Osbaldwick and Tang Hall. It replaces the number 6 service, which previously had a similar route.
First’s new 20-trip Yorkey Cards (which cost £17) can only be used on Your Bus services (56, 66, cb1, hb1) and Unibus Tripper cards can only be used on 44 Unibus services.
