Welcoming new and prospective students

The coming weeks will be busy on campus, with undergraduate open days and students arriving for the start of the new semester.

Undergraduate open days

Undergraduate open days take place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September.

Campus will be busy with prospective students and their families coming to find out what it's like to live and study at York.

The open days mean we have to close two car parks.

Car Park 6.1 (Campus South) will be closed from Thursday 10 September at 6pm to Monday 14 September at 8am.

Car Park 2.4 (Campus Central) will be closed on Saturday 12 September at 8am until Sunday 13 September at 5pm.

Please do not park in these car parks during these times.

New students welcome

Postgraduate welcome activities begin from Monday 14 September, with teaching starting from Monday 28 September, although some programmes (typically those that involve professional placements) begin earlier.

Undergraduate arrivals weekend is Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September.
