At-a-glance: what you need to do
Just want to know what you need to do and when?
We provide a handy checklist of everything you need to do on the MyUoY app - you can tick off each task once you've completed it!
Access the MyUoY app after you have enrolled (from August 2026). Find the 'Welcome to York' checklists by swiping across the 'essentials' or download the PDF:
Handbooks and financial information
Your department will provide you with a handbook explaining University services and all aspects of your course.
Find out all the financial information you'll need to know in our Essential Financial Information booklet.
Beware unofficial welcome chats and events
Watch out for unofficial online chats, groups and welcome events - even if they appear to have our logo on them, they may not be University-recognised.
Authentic groups and events will be advertised later in the summer and will be linked to from our welcome events page and the York SU events page.
Remember: all official UoY welcome events will be linked to from these welcome pages
