Each year the Fusion Centre for Doctoral Training collaborates with Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE) to organise an open day for prospective postgraduate students. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s event will take place online.

Come along to our virtual postgraduate open day on Wednesday 16 December 2020:

Take a virtual tour of the facilities at CCFE
Network with academics and current students from a range of universities
Learn about different areas of fusion research
Find out about Master's and PhD opportunities

While fusion is the headline topic, this spans many research areas that encompass plasma physics, materials science, instrumentation and advanced engineering/technologies. It links to fields as diverse as astrophysics, advanced manufacturing and nuclear energy.

This event provides a great opportunity to not only find out about what the UK has to offer in fusion training, but also to get a flavour of where a career in fusion energy research might take you beyond your postgraduate degree.
