In these sessions, our alumni will share their career journey, which began at the York Plasma Institute (YPI). They'll discuss what it is like working where they do, talk about the skills their organisations are looking for in graduates, and the typical application process.
For this session, we're joined by Tom Anderson, who is currently a Senior Engineering Consultant with MathWorks, Cambridge, your favourite purveyor of modelling and simulation tools according to Tom.
Come along for 3pm to enjoy some tea, coffee and cakes before Tom's talk.
About the speaker
Tom Anderson
Tom Anderson, MSc in Fusion Energy, is presently a Senior Engineering Consultant with MathWorks, Cambridge. After his MSc, Tom completed a PhD at the University of Edinburgh and then spent two years in the US working at the University of Delaware as a postdoc. He has been with MathWorks for nearly 5 years and lives in Cambridge.
