Event details

Have you ever wondered how you would have looked and lived 200,000 years ago? Come along and see how researchers use virtual modelling and experimental archaeology to study Neanderthals and our other ancestors. Join members of PALAEO from the Hull York Medical School and the University of York’s Department of Archaeology as they awaken the Neanderthal within you. Let them introduce you to what living in the Pleistocene – the Great Ice Age - was really like.

Meet the researchers: Paul O’Higgins, Dr Eloy Gálvez López, Emily Hunter, Dr Lou Albessard and Dr Andrew Needham, Department of Archaeology, University of York
