Event details

Join researchers from the University of York’s Humanities Research Centre for a board game simulating the 18th century Grand Tour, an extensive trip to Europe made by elite English travellers as a culmination of their studies. Players go from York to Rome on a major route travellers used around 1780. Roll a die, take a card and follow the instructions. Along the road collect stamps in your personalised passport. Whoever arrives in Rome first, and has collected all the stamps, is the winner!

Meet the Reseachers: Frances Long, Lilian Tabois, Tali Kot-Ofek
