What you need to apply

Competition for places at YLS is strong. You must meet the relevant academic criteria and have a good command of the English language. Our langauge requirements are as follows:

LLB Law (M100)

IELTS: 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in each component
Pearson: 61, with a minimum of 55 in each component
CAE and CPE (taken from January 2015): 176, with a minimum of 169 each component
TOEFL: 87 overall, with a minimum of 21 in Listening, 21 in Reading, 21 in Speaking, 21 in Writing
Trinity ISE III: Merit in all components

LLB Law Senior Status (M101)

IELTS: 7.0, with a minimum of 7.0 for Writing and 6.5 in Speaking, Listening and Reading
Pearson: 64, with a minimum of 61 in writing and 59 in each of the other components
CAE and CPE (taken from January 2015): 186, with a minimum of 180 in writing and 176 in each of the other components
TOEFL: 96 overall, with a minimum of 22 in Listening, 23 in Reading, 23 in Speaking, 24 in Writing
