International students

The University of York offers an outstanding educational experience and its degrees are internationally recognised for their high quality.  Choosing to study here will bring you into a modern, vibrant university community based in a renowned location and provide you with a really stimulating student experience.

Your international perspective is welcomed at YLS

Studying law at York is a dynamic process and a good mix of students greatly enhances this. We really value the contribution students from across the globe can make to our community and the different perspectives they can bring.

Your experience will be a real asset in the problem-based learning approach that we use. As a member of a student law firm your perspective will play an important role in helping this approach to more closely replicate team-working in a globalised and multicultural context.

We have a friendly, supportive community

We have a relatively small cohort of students so you will quickly feel part of our vibrant community. Getting to know your colleagues and tutors is made easier through our distinctive programme where you will be part of a small student law firm learning collaboratively with others.
