Web CMS (TerminalFour)
The TerminalFour Web content management system (CMS) is the primary system for publishing web pages on york.ac.uk. The CMS is mainly used for public-facing web content related to core University activities such as information for prospective students, research, partnerships and corporate information.

- Pages are generally public but can be restricted to internal users if needed.
- Trained staff can create, edit and approve content.
- Use predefined content blocks to create on-brand content.
- Pages are indexed in the University search engine and will appear in searches of york.ac.uk.
- Comprehensive user support from the central Communications team.
Access instructions
- If you’re not on campus, you need a virtual private network (VPN) connection.
- CMS access is only available to staff who have completed training.
- Training requests must be approved by an appropriate colleague in your department to ensure the correct access is being given. This also ensures that the relevant staff members know who has access to what.
