Aims
This module introduces students to the principles and practice of Geographical Information Systems.
- to examine how GIS can be applied in archaeology, and to explore the issues raised
- to provide a practical introduction to the use of GIS and its application in archaeology
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this module you should:
- gain an outline understanding of the use of GIS in various aspects of archaeological investigation and analysis
- display a clear understanding of the practical skills in the use of GIS
- be able to apply GIS techniques to your own projects
