Anyone considering reporting an incident under this Policy can access support by a number of routes.

Dignity Contacts

Dignity Contacts can provide non-emergency confidential information to students and staff across campus who might be experiencing harassment, bullying or hate incidents. Speaking to a Dignity Contact does not commit you to any course of action, but provides an opportunity to find out what support and reporting options are available. You do not have to speak to a Dignity Contact to make a report. Staff and students can make reports or access support directly through the Report and Support online portal.

Report and Support can be used to raise concerns about staff and student misconduct including bullying, harassment, discrimination, hate incidents, sexual violence, and sexual harassment. Making a report through this portal does not commit you to a course of action. It is an opportunity to receive support and explore options. If you do not wish to submit a report, you can find useful support information within the portal, which include University support services and external organisations and services (both local and national).

If you are a student in Hull York Medical School (HYMS) and wish to make a report about student or staff misconduct, or if you are HYMS staff and wish to report a HYMS student, please use the HYMS Report and Support tool.

All of the support services listed on the University of York Report and Support portal are open and accessible to all, including HYMS students and staff.
