Postgraduate accommodation

Our postgraduate accommodation is located in Wentworth College, our postgraduate-only college, as well as Derwent College and Halifax College. Postgraduates can choose from self-catered single rooms - ensuite or rooms with shared bathrooms, and studio flats, all conveniently located on our compact campus and close to university facilities.

Postgraduate accommodation applications for the 2026/27 academic year are now open.

If you apply by 31 July (5pm BST) as a full-time postgraduate student (UK or international) and, meet our specific criteria, you’ll be guaranteed a room offer. Find out more about our postgraduate guarantee.

Location

Our on-campus accommodation is close to University buildings and facilities. With just a short walk to the library, cafes, study and social spaces, you'll have university life on your doorstep - helping you to make the most of your time here.

Postgraduates who live on campus are located in Wentworth Graduate College, Halifax College or Derwent College.

All postgraduates, wherever you live, will also have access to a postgraduate-only common room.

Bathroom type

In Shared bathroom accommodation, you'll have a wash basin in your room and share other bathroom facilities with your flat.

All shared bathrooms are individually lockable and cleaned Monday to Friday by our cleaning team. Toilet roll is provided for you.

In Ensuite bathroom accommodation, you'll have your own toilet, wash basin and shower in your room.

You’ll be responsible for keeping your ensuite clean. Toilet roll is not included, so you'll need to buy your own.

Families

Most of our rooms are for individual applicants, but we have some studio flats and houses available for students wishing to live with their families. These aren't guaranteed, but we will try our best to help you.
