New undergraduates

We look forward to welcoming you!

Undergraduate arrivals weekend is Friday 18 - Sunday 20 September 2026. If you're living on campus, we'll let you know when you should arrive - you may need to book an arrivals slot.

Welcome Week begins on Monday 21 September 2026.

At-a-glance: what you need to do

Just want to know what you need to do and when?

We provide a handy checklist of everything you need to do on the MyUoY app - you can tick off each task once you've completed it!

You can access the MyUoY app after you have enrolled at the University (from August 2026). Find the checklist by scrolling the 'essentials' on the MyUoY app.

Download the MyUoY app

Handbooks and financial information

Your department will provide you with a handbook explaining University services and all aspects of your course.

We'll also provide an Essential Financial Information booklet.

Beware unofficial welcome chats and events

Watch out for unofficial online chats, groups and welcome events - even if they appear to have our logo on them, they may not be University-recognised.

Authentic groups and events will be advertised later in the summer and will be linked to from our welcome events page and the York SU events page.

Remember: all official UoY welcome events will be linked to from these welcome pages
