Potential interruption to water supply on Campus East

This is due to Yorkshire Water doing some work to an off-site area which has connections to our water supply, and is not related to the University.

If you live in Campus East accommodation you may wish to fill water bottles and kettles in preparation for this, and avoid showering between these times.  

If you find your water is discoloured after the work, run the cold tap until it runs clear again. You can check this by filling a jug and leaving it to stand for a few minutes to see if any sediment forms. If so, continue to run the tap until the water is clear. Do not run the hot tap until the cold tap runs clear. 

If you find your water is off during this period make sure to turn off the tap again to prevent flooding and damage when the water supply is restored.
