Improving Student Support Plans (SSPs): have your say

Posted on 5 April 2024

Help us improve support for students with a disability, specific learning difficulty or long-term health condition.

Student Support Plans (SSPs) provide a personalised plan of adjustments so that students are not disadvantaged by a disability or condition. This could include having more time to complete assignments or providing access to materials in particular formats.

We want to ensure that SSPs are easy to access, are implemented effectively and provide a good experience for students (and staff too). Following a Disability Services review last year, a new project is under way to look at all aspects of the SSP process. The aim is to design a new system for implementation next academic year.

Your opinion matters

Student involvement in this project is key to us and we want the new SSP process to be built with and for you.

Whether you have an SSP or not, we’d love to hear your views. If you’re interested in being part of one of our working groups, or just want to share your thoughts, please contact the project team and we’ll be really happy to hear from you.
