University Mental Health Day 2022
Thursday 3 March is University Mental Health Day, and as a University we have chosen to give over the whole week to activities promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.
We have themed the week around the “Five Ways to Wellbeing”, so keep your eyes peeled on social media, in your colleges and departments, and around the campus to find out how you can support your own wellbeing, and also have the confidence and information to reach out for support if you need to.
What's on?
- The colleges, student unions and Chaplaincy have a week packed full of events, so take a look at what is on offer - and get involved!
- York Student Minds will be taking over the University Instagram account on Thursday, so make sure to check it out to find out more about the work of Student Minds and some hints and tips about your mental health
- The week also supports the mental health week of the YUSU Campaign “Advocate for your Health” and associated activities
- Health Sciences Student and Academic Support Service (SASS) in conjunction with the Mental Health Awareness & Wellbeing Group (MHAWG) are hosting York Mind on Wednesday 2 March 11am to 12 noon. Come along to hear more about how their services can help to support positive mental health and how you can get involved. (book via Eventbrite)
Resources
As ever, we will also be highlighting the resources that are available to you if you need support and encouraging you to reach out if you need to - we are here to help.
