Opportunities to help support Ukrainian refugees.

Support Ukrainian refugee schoolchildren 

If you’re in York next academic year, York Students in Schools (YSIS) and the Centre for Global Programmes are looking for enthusiastic English as an Additional Language (EAL) volunteers to provide classroom support to local primary and secondary school Ukrainian refugees in Autumn Term.

Training will be provided and you don’t need to be able to speak Ukrainian to carry out the placement.

You may also be interested in signing up for an 8-week Languages For All Ukrainian for Everyday Communication beginners course, starting on Tuesday 28 June.

You can apply for the language course separately or you may be eligible for funding for the course if you are successful in applying for the EAL volunteering opportunity.
