Student support continues over the winter break

Whether you’re leaving York or staying on campus, student support continues over the winter break.
On campus
- See changes to cleaning and reception services, plus information about fault reporting, if you’re staying in campus accommodation over the vacation
- Retail and catering outlet opening times change during the vacation - visit Eat at York opening times to see what is open and when
- See student events or the MyUoY app for college events and other activities taking place over the vacation. You can also check out GSA events.

Call 999 for emergency services - or for Campus Safety services call 01904 32 3333 or use the Safezone app.
Academic support
- See information about the Library’s Christmas closure dates
- You can keep up with your reading list via the Library’s e-resources and check out our online skills guides
- Contact the Library any time via the Library chat service
- Academic Skills Community workshops and one-to-one study and coaching appointments continue online over the break
Wellbeing support
- Our usual sources of help and support are still available over the break, though there may be reduced access to some services between Friday 23 December 2022 and Tuesday 3 January 2023

Connecting to campus remotely
You can connect to the Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access your filestore and use restricted web apps away from campus, or you can use the Virtual Desktop Service (VDS) to log onto your Uni desktop away from campus, and access your filestore and software. Find out more about working off-campus.
