Volunteering with Nightline

Posted on 10 March 2022

Find out more about York Nightline and the volunteer application process.

York Nightline is a confidential listening, information and sexual health supplies service for students, by students. They are holding taster sessions to help you find out more about volunteering with them.

Upcoming taster sessions last around an hour:

  • Monday 14 March at 6.30 PM - Room: P/T/006 (Campus West)
  • Tuesday 15 March at 5.30 PM - Room PZA/129 (Campus East)
  • Wednesday 16 March at 6.00PM - Room P/T/006 (Campus West)
  • Thursday 17 March at 5.30 PM -  Room PZA/129 (Campus East)

They also run training weekends once a term, providing you with all the skills necessary to volunteer with them. Places are limited and, due to budget and facility constraints, they are unable to train final year students as listening volunteers.

Nightline demands a real commitment from all of its members and the decision to train shouldn't be taken lightly, but it's also a great bunch of people to get to know.

If you have any questions, email training@york.nightline.ac.uk.
