Submit nominations for the India-UK Achievers Honours

Posted on 4 November 2022

Have you or someone you know, studied in the UK and has gone on to do amazing things? You or them could be one of India's ‘75 at 75’ in the Achievers Honours.

To mark India’s 75 year anniversary of independence, 75 Indian UK students and alumni who have made an important contribution to their field and society will be honoured in a first-of-its-kind celebration of the UK’s Indian alumni – the India UK Achievers Honours.

From Mahatma Gandhi to Dr Ambedkar, Cornelia Sorabjee to Pandit Nehru; some of India’s foremost leaders have been former Indian students in the UK. It is this legacy of the India-UK educational partnership that has inspired the conception of the Achievers Honours and through this programme we wish to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our alumni, inspiring future generations.

The ‘75 at 75’ Achievers will be honoured in a gala celebration on Saturday 10 December 2022 at the residence of the British High Commissioner to India. Achievers will also be celebrated through a significant digital campaign and invited to participate in conversations designed to facilitate conversations around key global topics throughout 2023.

Details of the five different honours categories, eligibility criteria and further guidance is available on the Achievers Honours website. Want to find out more or have any queries? The NISAU (National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK) are also hosting a webinar for applicants on Monday 7 November 2022 at 2pm GMT. Register for this free informational session.
