New financial scam targeting students

We’ve been made aware of the latest scheme attempting to trick students out of money

Students have been targeted in a scam where a caller states they are the police and demand payment of unspecified 'taxes', referring to HMRC and the courts. The caller isn't genuine and should be reported to the police.

Be vigilant

Read scammers - they’re after your money to find out about other scams targeting all students - not just international students.

What to do if you think you’ve been targeted

If you think you or one of your friends have been targeted by scammers, contact the Student Hub as soon as possible.
