Sign up to be a student buddy in 2020/21

Develop new skills and get to know other students from across the University.
If you'll be an undergraduate or postgraduate at York next academic year, you can apply to be a volunteer student buddy.
Student buddies support new undergraduate students as they settle into university life. You will be a friendly face who can empathise with what your students are experiencing and point them in the direction of the various sources of information or support.
As well as making a positive contribution to the University community, you'll also gain valuable skills in:
- communication
- problem solving
- planning and time management
Application deadline: Friday 8 May
If accepted, you will be required to complete four hours of compulsory online training at the start of June.
