Sexual Violence Awareness Week Event
Wednesday 5 February
10.30am -12.30pm
James Hall

Sexual Abuse & Sexual Violence Awareness Week, 3 - 9 February 2020, is the UK’s national week to raise awareness of sexual abuse and violence and to provide an opportunity for any organisation or individuals to talk about sexual violence and the support available.

We are hosting a Sexual Violence Awareness Week Event where internal and external support agencies and charities will have stalls containing information, freebies and interactive ways of joining the conversation.

Come along to James Hall anytime between 10.30am - 12.30pm to join the University in taking a stand against sexual violence and finding out more about what support is available.

If you are a society or a sports club, and would like to have a stand at this event, then please contact amy.perch@york.ac.uk for further information and to enquire about booking a place.

Support

As a University we are committed to preventing, responding to and investigating incidents of sexual violence. There is help available if you, or someone you know, has experienced sexual harassment, assault or violence. We want to start conversations, raise awareness and make sure that people know where to go for support, information and guidance.

No matter where you were or what you were doing, wearing or saying, whether you were drunk or under the influence of drugs – you are not to blame. If you are affected by sexual violence, or want to know more about what support is available, please see our information on sexual violence.
