Nominate someone for an honorary degree

Students are invited to nominate candidates for the award of an honorary degree for July 2020 and beyond.

The Honorary Associations Committee is seeking nominations for honorary degrees. They seek to recognise extraordinary individuals who represent the University’s vision, values and excellence and will inspire our graduating students.

Your submission should include how your nomination reflects the University’s values and ambition to be a University for public good. View further details of the selection criteria and nomination process.

The Nominations Committee will meet to consider nominations for 2020/2021 in April 2020. Nominations should therefore reach Joan Concannon, Director of External Relations, by email to external-relations-pa@york.ac.uk, by Friday 3 April 2020.
