Could you help a new student settle in?

Apply to be a college mentor (STYM).

Second/Third Year Mentors (STYMs) provide all new undergraduate students with a second/third-year student peer supporter throughout their first year. 

You'll be on hand during welcome week and beyond to help new students transition into university life by providing key information and signposting to support.

As well as enhancing your CV and boosting your confidence and communication skills, being a STYM gives you the chance to meet new people from diverse backgrounds from all over world.

You'll receive regular training equipping you with skills to identify student issues and signpost appropriately and you'll have full support from college staff.

Applications are now open to current undergraduate students who will be moving into Year 2 or 3 of their studies this September.
