YorkTalks is the annual showcase of the University's research. It's free of charge and open to all. In bite-size 15 minute slots over four sessions, sixteen speakers explain and engage you about their research. Come for one session or come for the day.

Our speakers are invited from departments across all three Faculties. Subjects reflect the diversity and strength of York research and include:
- lad culture
- art after the internet
- the hidden reality of sexual harassment and violence
- fighting tropical diseases
- the artificial intelligence DJ
- the risks of banks, ten years after the crash
- the power of nature for mental health
Each session gives time for the audience to ask questions. Refreshments will be available before and between sessions and a drinks reception will conclude the day at the end of session 4.
