Final years: give your feedback in the NSS

Posted on 28 January 2018

This year's National Student Survey (NSS) opens to all final year undergraduates on Monday 5 February.

The NSS is your opportunity to give fair and honest feedback on your experience at the University of York. It’s time to tell us what you think we do well and any areas where you think we can do better.

The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and is smartphone and tablet friendly.

We use the NSS results to understand what we’re getting right for our students and to highlight areas for further improvements so that students following in your footsteps can benefit from your feedback. We especially encourage you to expand your feedback using the free text comments when prompted in the survey - these are read by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Teaching, Learning and Students and staff within departments to make quality enhancements to the student experience.

Externally, the results of the NSS are published annually on the Unistats website and help prospective students compare statistics across courses and to make an informed decision over their choice of university.

The NSS 2018 runs from Monday 5 February until Monday 30 April 2018. It is run by Ipsos Mori who will contact you with a unique ID and a link to the survey. They will send an initial email and reminder emails and possibly contact you by phone if you have not completed the survey by a certain date.

Please take the time to give your feedback, it really does make a difference.

Thank you.

NB: All reminders from Ipsos Mori will stop once you have completed the survey. If you do not wish to take part you can opt out at any stage when you are contacted directly by Ipsos Mori. Reply telling them you do not wish to take part and they will not contact you again.
