Posted on 15 May 2017

De-stress and help socialise some friendly dogs. Book your slot to pet a young hero in training, Friday 26 May.

Guide dog meet and greet. Friday 26 May, 12 noon to 3pm. Book your slot to pet some pups.

Research shows that petting and playing with animals can reduce stress hormones and lower blood pressure. Take some time out from your studies to pet a dog at the Library's Guide Dog Meet and Greet.

We’re welcoming canine visitors from Guide Dogs for the Blind to the Library.

Meeting new people is an important part of their social training, so you'll be helping these friendly pups and dogs as well as taking some time to relax. Plus, it's a great opportunity to find out about the amazing skills of these life-changing dogs.

You can also make a suggested £2 donation on the day to help support these good boys and girls.

As an extra thank you to the Guide Dogs charity, we’ll donate any Library charges paid on the day to them.
