Behind the Election Headline: Education

Get election savvy. Come along to the first of three lunchtime events to demystify the issues affecting your vote. 1-2pm Wednesday 17 May, Bowland Auditorium.

The University of York and York University Student’s Union (YUSU) are hosting three lunchtime events to give staff, students and members of the public the opportunity to hear from, and ask questions of, University researchers on the topic of health, the economy, and education in the context of the UK general election and Brexit.  

A panel of York researchers will demystify the key issues hitting the headlines and reveal what the latest research tells us. 

The first event will be focused on education and will be Chaired by YUSU President Millie Beach with researchers Dr Paul Wakeling, Department of Education, and Dr Chris Renwick, Department of History. 

‘Behind the Election Headlines: Education’ will take place from 1pm to 2pm on Wednesday, 17 May, in the Bowland Auditorium, Berrick Saul Building.  No booking required.
